There are thousands of exhibitions in China every year and most of them are the wrong room for a foreign company. This calendar covers only fairs in the four Tier-1 host cities that have a genuine international dimension — and for each one we say plainly who the audience is, what it is good for, and where companies like yours waste money.
Our own read, not an official ranking. It reflects four things we can actually observe:
We would rather tell you how confident we are than present everything as equally certain. Each entry carries one of three labels, and you can filter the list to confirmed entries only.
Every entry links to the official site so you can check us. Where a fair's own domain was unreachable or HTTP-only, we say so on the card rather than quietly linking somewhere else.
The calendar is compiled and maintained in Shanghai, which is the reason we are willing to be opinionated about which fairs are worth the money. Sources include organiser sites, Chinese government fair filings, and Chinese-language trade schedules that are difficult to reach from outside the country.
The interface, the filters and this methodology are available in all seven site languages. Fair names, venues and our written assessment of each individual fair are kept in English, the language they were researched and reviewed in — we would rather not run commercial judgements we stand behind through machine translation. Ask us and we will send a briefing on any fair in your language.
Information for orientation, not advice, and not a booking service. Fair dates, venues and hall allocations change. Confirm on the official site before you commit to travel, freight or stand costs.
No sector matches that
Most good stands are gone months before the fair, and national pavilion places are allocated earlier still. We refresh this calendar every quarter — newly confirmed dates, pavilion deadlines, and any fair that has moved venue or been cancelled. Tell us your sector and we will send the update that is relevant to you, nothing else.
We are based in Shanghai and we work these halls. Whether you exhibit or simply attend, the difference between a bag of business cards and a shortlist of real distributors usually comes down to preparation and language.
Booth and negotiation interpreting with a terminology glossary agreed before the doors open — so your technical claims survive the translation.
Cannot justify the flights? We walk the fair as your representative, screen exhibitors and distributors against your criteria, and send a written report with named contacts.
Chinese-language outreach to relevant importers and distributors before the fair, so your diary is filled with scheduled meetings rather than passing traffic.
Tell us your category and which fair you are considering. We will tell you honestly whether it is the right room — including when the answer is that you should skip it and spend the money on distributor visits instead.
