Chinese industry is clustered by county and district, not spread evenly. That holds for socks and furniture as much as for AI, chips and software. Finding the right cluster usually means better pricing, more partners within driving distance, and fewer layers between you and the people who actually make or build it.
Start with a sector below, or search for a product, a city or a county.
Every bubble is a province; click it to zoom into its clusters. Hover a card in the list below and the matching dot lights up here — the map and the list always stay in sync.
20 sectors in two groups. Pick one to see every cluster in it, what kind of place it is, and how far we have verified it.
Looking for a specific product? Use the search box at the top of this page.A cluster is not always a place with factories. These four labels decide what you can realistically do when you get there — it is the most important thing on this page.
Knowing where to go is the first half. We are based in Shanghai and can verify suppliers, arrange and join factory visits, interpret on site, and handle the follow-up in your language.
Talk to us about sourcingNo obligation. If the answer is "you do not need us for this", we will say so.
Consumer-goods clusters were compiled from Chinese industry listings, then de-duplicated, corrected and cross-checked. Advanced-industry clusters come from official lists: MIIT national SME specialty and advanced manufacturing clusters, national AI and Internet-of-Vehicles pilot zones, China Software Famous Cities, and the Shanghai Industrial Map 2026. Entries whose location could not be resolved, or which turned out to be shopping centres rather than production areas, were removed rather than guessed at.
Verification is shown per entry and we do not round it up. Opening a cluster shows what its label means in practice, including the risk worth knowing before you travel.
The interface, sector names, place types, each cluster’s category, source and note, and the sector briefings are all translated into every language of this site. Place names (counties, towns and parks) stay in English and Chinese: they are proper nouns, and keeping the original spelling makes them easier to look up and verify.
